Kelly’s desire to become a mental health therapist grew from her personal experiences in childhood when she witnessed family members whom she loved struggling with mental health illnesses. These early experiences made a significant impact on her, which also shaped her compassion for others and motivated her to help individuals navigate their mental health journeys.
As a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Kelly has many years of experience working with clients with mental health issues in different settings, such as private practice, residential, detox, IOP, MAT, and outpatient SUD. She also has a post-graduate degree in substance abuse

treatment and is credentialed as a Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC). She specializes in working with individuals experiencing substance use disorders and primarily serves adult clients.
Kelly uses an eclectic approach in her sessions to work with clients. She would draw from multiple evidence-based modalities depending on each client’s unique needs. She primarily leans toward mindfulness-based practices and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
In her first session with the clients, Kelly would like to focus on getting to know them. She will review their personal history, explore their goals for therapy, and begin building a trusting and collaborative therapeutic relationship, which is significant for the success of the therapy.
Kelly is accepting a limited number of new clients. She currently prefers telehealth sessions due to a varied schedule and other professional commitments.
Friends and family are a very important part of Kelly’s life. She practices self-care by spending quality time with friends and family.
Kelly brings a wealth of life experience into her work as a therapist. Outside of her professional life, she enjoys caring for her five chickens and spending time with her four grandchildren. Simple things, such as gathering eggs from her chicken coop and staying with her grandchildren, bring a lot of joy to her.
