Tammy Render-Morris, MA LPC CAADC

Graduating with a degree from Liberty University as a Licensed Professional Counselor concurrent with Christian Counseling as the beginning of my career as a counselor. Starting my career at Ele’s Place which is a program for children who have had a significant death in their lives.  During my time at Ele’s Place I lead various aged groups for children experiencing grief along with working in a group with the parents of these children. I found this experience to be extremely beneficial in counseling of others as we all experience significant deaths at one time or another in our lives.

In addition to grief counseling, I have had the privilege of counseling individuals who struggle with addiction specifically opioid addiction and all substance use disorders. I have extensive training in substance abuse with a certification as an Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC).

My Christian Counseling program prepared me in my position at St. Vincent Catholic Charities in which I was the designated Faith Based Counselor for the Diocese of Lansing for our Catholic community. During my four years at St. Vincent I was privileged to counsel many people in our Catholic/Christian community and continue to do so today.

In addition to my education and work experience I have been married for over 25 years and am the mother of 6 children and 9 grandchildren.  These experiences in my life give me the opportunity to relate to many experiences of my clients and has helped with understanding the many things the regular people struggle with in their own lives.

It would be a great privilege to provide you with counseling services that can help in your own healing which offers great hope in overcoming any issues you may be dealing with today.
