Reyna Choi

MSW Intern, University of Michigan

Reyna is obtaining her Master of Social Work at the University of Michigan with a focus on interpersonal practice in integrated health, mental health, and substance abuse. She has an interest in working with people of all ages to help them navigate their depression, anxiety, grief, interpersonal conflicts, or any other stressors while focusing on their self-actualization.

No matter the person, Reyna hopes to use a trauma-informed lens to collaborate with her clients in building a more fulfilling life.

Reyna also has first-hand experience with the stress of immigration and is dedicated to supporting families that may be struggling with generational, cultural conflicts, and mental health stigma, particularly in relation to adolescent mental health.

Born in South Korea, Reyna moved to the United States when she was five years old. After growing up in Montgomery County, Maryland, she received her BA in Psychology and Public Health at Columbia University. She has since moved to East Lansing and spends her free time completing puzzles, playing video games, crocheting, and watching sports with her partner and their two cats, Natto and Dango
